-----In 2013, The Graduate School initiated an effort to revamp our student development activities and created a new annual Professional Development Calendar. The purpose of creating an annual calendar is to facilitate the ability for students to customize and chart their engagement in our development activities from the time they enter the university. The events focus on research, teaching, and the addition of activities that engage graduate students with the UM community.
-----We welcome all graduate students to take part in the activities that range from research and teaching orientations and training, new student orientations and annual pic-nics, fellowship and proposal writing clinics, dissertation writing training/groups/retreats, research symposia, graduate-specific awards, and much more.
