The TPTP World was started in 1992, and I can reasonably claim that it has been a success. Certainly, ny academic career is largely thanks to this project, and I have invested a lot of effort into "my baby". This talk explains the actions and attitudes that I have adopted, which has made it possible for me to sustain the effort, attract users, get others involved, and make the TPTP World useful research. The talk covers five basic ideas: being different, investing in my career, being nice, communicating, and staying on the path.
