I live in Miami, USA, where I work in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Miami. My main interest in Computer Science is Automated Theorem Proving. However, when I'm not proving theorems I tend to be somewhere in or on the ocean ...

I used to be crazy into SCUBA diving, but recently I've developed a dominating interest in sailing. I started sailing as foredeck crew on Finesse (and I still do that), a Tartan 34, sail number 301, owned and skippered by Bill Beavers - see the pictures on the right. Most of that sailing is racing, in Biscayne Bay Yacht Racing Association races, and also in races down the Florida keys, etc.

In March 2011 I bought my own boat, Moon Glow ...

Moon Glow is a Bristol 30, sail number 104. It's moored at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club. Sailing highlights...

August 2011
My buddy Carol took a photo of us the first time we ever took Moon Glow out, and submitted it to the Latitudes and Attitudes seafaring magazine, and we appeared in the August issue. Here's the photo.

14th August 2011
Big news - I entered the CGSC double handed race, with my buddy Randy Cottrell, and we won. First race, first win - wooohoo.

June 2011
Wooof, having too much fun to write a lot. Anyhoo, Moon Glow is now in a usable state, although there's (and I guess always will be) more work to do. Friends are invited to come sailing - bring rum and sandwiches.

April 2011
I'm just getting Moon Glow into shape, so I guess there'll be more to write here in a month or two.
