Tallinn has become a very popular tourism target, and the real estate investments have not quite managed to catch up quickly enough. As a consequence, the summer prices are fairly steep, it is hard (if not impossible) to get rebates from rack prices, and the hotels are fully booked months in advance.

What typically happens is that the large travel companies book just everything without financial obligations, and then let go ca 1/3 of the bookings about one month before the deadline. For CADE this means that it is likely that there will be more booking opportunities at the end of June than there are now.

The organizers have booked a number of rooms specially for CADE, at very different hotels, at very different prices. None of these rooms are confirmed or paid for: you will have to contact the hotel directly, reserve and pay for these rooms yourself. The reservations have to be made (latest) before 1. July, and in some cases earlier: before 22. June. All the reservations are served on the first-come basis. In order to actually reserve these rooms, select a suitable hotel from the list below, contact the hotel and mention both (A) CADE (B) our reservation number (if available).

You can certainly book the hotels outside the list/reservations below. The last chapter of this page contains pointers to the general hotel listings in Tallinn. In order to simplify finding alternatives to the CADE list or for getting travel information, please contact:

The following is a list of CADE reservations mentioned above. They start with the hostels and apartments, and continue towards costlier alternatives. All the prices (except the hostels and apartments) include breakfast. There are no extra taxes (i.e. the price contains all the taxes). All these hotels are of a good quality and have nice locations. Almost all of them are in the short walking distance (from 1 minute to 15 minutes) from the conference venue.

We are going to make additional CADE bookings during May/June. However, since there are no guarantees that the additional bookings will be more favourable, we'd suggest to reserve the rooms as soon as possible, once you find something suitable.

All the prices in the following table are given in the Estonian kroon (eek). To obtain the price in euro, divide the eek price by 15.6466 (fixed eur/eek rate).

• Oldhouse hostel: 3 rooms, 13 beds in total. Nice and clean hostel with a centuries-old feel and style, right in the old town, 1 minute walk from the conference location.

• Maestro villa: 2000 eek, 1 bedroom with two double beds. Located in the classic park/villa area, ca 30 minutes walk from the conference location. Better to use a taxi or public transportation.
• Olevi hotel: 10 rooms: standard 1120 eek, economy (no windows!) 840 eek. An old building ca 100 meters from the conference location. Beware: (a) must use a very steep stairway (b) economy rooms are without windows.
• Skane hotel 2 single rooms, 800 eek, for the period 21-24.07 only. Use reservation nr 23431 and mention name "Tammet". Just outside the old town, near the railway, ca 5 minute walk to conference location.
• Reval hotel Central: 5 rooms, dbl 1252 eek / sgl 1095 eek. Reservation nr 605571. A large tourist hotel relatively close to the city center and port. Ca 10 minutes walk to the conference location.
• Pirita TopSpa hotel 8 rooms. Special fee: dbl 990, sgl 792. Reservation nr 288638. Nice mid-size spa/tourist hotel, located in the yacht club area in Pirita, right on the seacoast. Ca 5 minutes walk to the main beach in Tallinn: Pirita. Indoor swimming pool closed in July. Ca 6 kilometers from the conference location: use taxi or public transportation.
• Best Western Hotel Tallink 9 rooms, period 23-27.07 only, special price sgl 1393 eek. A large tourist hotel right in the city center, outside old town. Ca 10 minutes walk to the conference location. Use the email address Booking@Hotell.Tallink.ee. Reservation nr 84716.
• Taanilinna hotel 1 dbl room, 1500 eek. Reservation nr 6315. A small hotel right in the old town, ca 5 minutes walk to the conference location.
• Hotel imperial. 5 rooms. Special price dbl 1680 eek, sgl 1330 eek. Period 23-27.07 only. A small hotel in the old town, ca 5 minutes walk to the conference location.
• Meriton Grand Hotel Tallinn 10 rooms, executive class, 1800 eek. Reservation nr 42406. A mid-size/large quality tourist/business hotel close to the old town: ca 10 minutes walk to the conference location.
• Radisson SAS: 10 rooms, special price sgl 1893 eek. A large (one of the tallest buildings in the city) high-quality business hotel in the city center, outside old town. Ca 10 minutes walk to the conference location. Reservation number 293858. Latest booking date 21. June. Please use this excel form for booking.
• Reval Hotel Olympia 2 rooms, dbl 2347 eek (reservation nr 830436), sgl 2034 eek (reservation nr 830436). A large (one of the tallest buildings in the city) quality tourist/business hotel near the city center, outside old town. Ca 15 minutes walk to the conference location

We have additionally booked 30 rooms in the Domina City and Domina Ilmarine. Both are nice above-average hotels in very good locations (in particular, the Domina City is located in the very heart of the city, somewhat in old town, somewhat in the modern centre, ca 5 minutes walk to the conference location). Our special prices: dbl 1575 eek, sgl 1350 eek. However, due to an error in reservation handling, our booking has been overrun by bookings from large travel agencies (see the first chapter) and is currently on the waiting list. This means that you cannot use that booking yet, but it will be - hopefully - available during June. There are no guarantees, however. The booking number is 74601.
