Welcome to
the my web page (at least to a first effort to have one). I am Dimitris
Papamichail and currently I am a Ph.D. student at the University of New York at Stony Brook in the Computer Science Department. I have a
bachelor engineering degree from the Computer
Engineering and Informatics department at the University of Patras, which is located in Patra, Greece.
I also got a masters in CS from the Computer
Science Department of the University of
Arizona, which is located in sunny Tucson, US.

I guess I do not look like this now (and certainly not better)!

My hobbies include
classical guitar playing, photography, sports and of course, computers. The
links below are dedicated to these aspects of my life. I did not include
anything about computers, because I do not think there is any need - the
whole net is dedicated to them!
Note: Most links are now
outdated, so do not get frustrated when they do not open. I will try to add new
ones in time (some time… what time is it now?).
I play
classical guitar for more than twenty years - and still I have not reached a
decent level! At least I managed to get a degree in Greece on January 1996.

I am an
amateur photographer with a large collection of cameras and accessories, pretty
deep knowledge of the technics, the tricks and know-how of photography and very
poor skill in actually taking photographs (as can be seen from the photos links
above). At least I have a large collection of photography links.

My favorite
sports are table tennis and basketball. I also play tennis and volleyball. I
used to be in a running team as a teenager, but now I am only running with my
car and occasionally with my bicycle (for parking reasons). And if I can find
sea (which is pretty rare here in Arizona), I also like to swim. So, for the
