FC4 installed but crashed on first boot. Word has it must be compiled for MMX not Pro, (i586?).
Gentoo not getting network connection, might work wired and Virtual Switch, I don't know.
FreeBSD stalls on canned kernel boot after detecting VGA, but goes on, fails to get network for isntall. Also wired w/ Virtual Switch might be the solution.

kernel crashed cause make install does not make initrd.
used /usr/sbin/mkinitrd -o /boot/iinitr.img-2.6.13 2.6.13
or was it /usr/lib/2.6.13?
At the same time changed ext3 betwtin Y (compiled in) and M (module). Finally booted but no network, eth0 not setup, tried to rebuild modules, w/ TULIP enabled.
