• The concept/syntax/usage of the programming contructs in Java
• Practice programming exercises
• Suggested approaches for teaching
• A programming project assigned at the end of the workshop.

Organization:

• The workshops are held in the Linux Lab of the Department of Computer Science, Ungar Building 426, University of Miami.
• Daily schedule:
  • 09:00-10:00 - Session 1
  • 10:00-10:30 - Break
  • 10:30-12:30 - Session 2
  • 12:30-14:00 - Lunch
  • 14:00-15:30 - Session 3
  • 15:30-16:00 - Break
  • 16:00-17:30 - Session 4
• Morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch, are provided both days.
• The workshop is taught by Dr. Geoff Sutcliffe, with support from Aparna Yerikalapudi.
